The Galloway Arms Hotel is a heritage listed, quality 10 bedroom hotel lying midway between the town centres of Castle Douglas and Dumfries.  These towns are 18 miles apart, so that Crocketford over the years became fondly referred to as 'The Nine Mile Bar'.  We are a family owned and managed heritage hotel in the heart of South West Scotland, benefiting from a rural location which is also central.  We have have been serving the needs of weary travellers and visitors to the area for more than two hundred years and pride ourselves on delivering service built upon years of tradition and experience.

Relax and unwind in the Nine Mile Lounge Bar with one of our premium malt whiskies.  Alternatively, you might like to play a game of pool, darts or dominoes with friends or enjoy the sunshine in our fully enclosed beer garden.  Our all day menu is available in the Lounge from 12noon - 9pm, and breakfast for non residents is available from 9am - 12noon.

McKnight's Restaurant offers an intimate dining experience for two or many, depending on the size of your party, and the extensive menu ensures that there is something for everyone.  We are also able to easily cater for special dietary needs such as gluten free and coeliac.

The Bistro offers a casual dining experience and is ideal for families and friends to come together and relax whilst enjoying good food and company.  Open for bookings, Friday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday.  The Bistro is also available for private hire either on its own with a small dance floor, or in conjunction with McKnight's Restaurant for weddings, catering for your wedding breakfast in McKnight's and evening party in the Bistro, Front Lounge & McKnight's.
