Meet The Team
The Galloway Arms Hotel is owned by Pat Watson and her daughter Paula and son in law Stuart.
Pat Watson
I have worked in the hospitality industry for over four decades and re-opened the Galloway Arms with my late husband James Watson (Noky) in 1996. I was born and raised in Crocketford and I was delighted to return to the village where I feel truly at home. After 20 years I continue to enjoy being part of the family business and I have always believed that the kitchen is the heart of the hotel.
Paula and Stuart Brand
I joined my family when they decided to take on the challenge of The Galloway Arms Hotel in 1996 and I worked in all areas for over twelve years before taking a step back to have our family. I then took on the challenge of running a children’s Nursery for 8 years before returning to the family business. My husband Stuart works in the forestry by week and is part of running the hotel at the weekend.
Since taking over on 26th of February 2016 we have made many changes and feel very much part of the community and look forward to developing and growing in the future.
We continue to aim for service users to have a warm and friendly experience with us whether it is to dine or refreshment from the bar. This is promoted by the fabulous team of staff we have, they have all been amazing since taking over and work and support us. Thank You
